Just some thoughts

I have not posted in a long time. Our digital camera broke shortly after it fell to the ground while it was in the care of Sadie. Why I let her hold it is beyond me. Anyway, we have not replaced it yet and so I haven't taken any pictures in awhile. I kept thinking that I should get on here and write something, but without pics....well it's just not the same.
The other reason that I haven't posted is because I have this little boy (Adam)who has learned to crawl. Not only does this pose a problem because he gets into everything, but he also has learned to follow me around and give this devastating cry if I do not immediately pick him up. If I don't, then he cries and climbs up my legs. It's difficult to even shower these days. That usually consists with a mad dash to the bathroom, stripping as I go, 5 minutes later I emerge, breathless and listening to the cries of "mama dada!!!" coming from my bedroom. I wanted him to learn to crawl and get around on his own and now I just wish for him to lay in his bouncy like he used to. Just long enough to let me get ready for the day. The worst thing is that he usually only takes one nap a day lasting around 1/2 hour if I am lucky. I am not complaining, just making excuses. :)

Shopping

Ok, so the government had this big idea to send us some money. It's great and all except most of ours went to pay bills and register our car. We did manage, however, to take a trip to Park City Utah where there are great outlet stores. The kids really needed some shorts and summer stuff and we can never stay away from the Adidas outlet. I love it there! It was actually a really fun trip and we got some good stuff. My favorite part of going up there, though, is watching all of the people stare at us as if we were in the circus. I guess a family of 4 kids is a lot these days and we always get strange looks. Anyway, when we got home, I made my kids try on all of their new clothes and do a fashion show for me. Since it wouldn't be strategically possible for all of the kids to try on things at the actual store, we hope that everything will fit once we get home. The funny thing we learned was that Ammon's shoe size is a 2.5 and Eli's is a 2. They are two and a half years apart with nearly the same size shoe. Eli has BIG FEET.

Adam has more than he needs in the way of clothes. With two older brothers and a really nice neighbor, we just don't need clothes for him. I couldn't resist buying him this hat though. I just love taking pictures of him. He is so cute and I find myself just taking pic after pic. I can't believe that he is 7 months now. It's truly amazing!

just venting

Ok, so I feel as if I am going crazy today. I am locked in my room trying to "keep" the baby asleep as Eli and Sadie fight and bang on my door. I want to scream at them, but I keep taking deep breaths and praying that Adam will stay asleep long enough for me to pee.
I have a primary activity that I am in charge of on Friday. There are 188 kids in my primary for which I made "I am Special" books! Can you believe it? I made books for every child and every book has a page which says something special about each child. I called every family in our ward with Primary aged kids and and asked them something special about each child. Do you think that I overdo it???? Gosh I don't know.
I also have soccer and a meeting tonight, a baptism to attend on Saturday, Sharing Time on Sunday and an orientation that I am in charge of on Sunday afternoon for 3 new nursery classes. I have to call all those teachers and make sure that they will be able to come to the meeting. OVERWHELMING! I am tired and worn out and I need a break. Thank goodness for Elder M. Russell Ballard's talk on Sunday. I recorded it and we watched it for Family night last night. Ammon woke up this morning and did the dishes and swept the floors! Wow what a kid.

Blogging Bandwagon

Ok so it seems that everyone is blogging except for me. So I am joining the blog bandwagon. We'll see if I can even keep up with it. I am a busy woman! When I have more time I will post pics and updates on our life.
